When I use the ripp-it the option "Analyser ave Ripp-it" adds to the context menu of avi file... and I don't want it how can I remove it, it I remove it manually when I start the program it add it again.
pepsilite
you can't remove it... is that so disturbing for you?
Ongapisa
I am not the only one who use my PC. This persons doesn't know too much about computers, and if they try to play a video Ripp-it opens... and not my favourite program that they know how it's works.
pepsilite
Well Ripp it opens the video only if you wish to analyse it, not for reading it... The problem is elsewhere, try to set avi files associations with your favourite player...

I associate it with BsPlayer, but when I open Ripp-it the program back to add it.
pepsilite
you mean that when you try to play a movie (without the context menu) Ripp it opens and analyses it? If it is, go to the "tools" menu of explorer and "folder options" to erase the .avi in the "file types". The .avi will no longer be associated and windows will ask you when you will click on an avi file. You can also see in the "open with" entry in the context menu and "force" bsplayer to read it...

I don't undestrand why it does so, maybe because of your "foreign" windows, we all have the french version here...

Jack...

Yes... I delete from several place... but always put it again.... and I don't like it.

Suggestion:
- an option to asocciate files to the program
pepsilite
I keep on saying your problem ain't from Ripp it... The avi files are associated with, but it's not made by Ripp-it... Ripp it only add en entry in the context menu and NEVER associate any video file with it... windows does ...

Sorry but I don't belive that it's problem of my windows version, XP Pro + SP1.

I work with computers for a long of time... Windows 3.1 dind't exist...

When Rippit runs it add to the register information about file types, and I just don't like it...
pepsilite
I agree but there is no way an AVI file is associated with Ripp it by Ripp it for opening and playing...

You speak about key krypton in registry?I delete it whith regcleaner .It's very simple. aga.gif
Ongapisa
Maybe I can not explain myself.

I don't want any reference to Rip-it in the context menu.,

I clean all reference with regedit or regcleaner. And I put the associate that I want.
Then I just open Rip-it, I open it from menu and I don't make nothing more.
And then... ">> Analyser ave Ripp-it" adds to the context menu.
pepsilite
Ok, as you want, I made a special version for you :

ripp-it_am_no_menu_142g2c

it puts nothing in the context menu and erase all, if exists, in the future version, there will be a button to choose the option...

Thanks a lot!!!

It works.... it's everything that I want. I really don't like software that puts things without your ask... some software put a link in the desktop everytime that you open it... and I hate this kind of thing.
Jack...
